Really lands Australian paranormal show

UKTV's entertainment channel Really has ordered Haunting: Australia through a deal with Flame Distribution.

UKTV’s entertainment channel Really has landed Haunting: Australia through a deal with Australia-based Flame Distribution.

The pre-investment agreement will see the series, produced by Flame’s production arm, air in the UK in April.

Haunting Australia is an 8 x 60-minute series that gathers paranormal investigators, including Most Haunted‘s Ian Lawman, Robb Demarest and Ray Jorden, to test their skills in haunted locations across Australia.

The six presenters will use a number of different techniques and equipment to bring scary footage to the series.

Haunting: Australia was ordered by Really’s general manager Clare Laycock and the deal was overseen by UKTV’s head of acquisitions and coproductions, Alexandra Finlay, and Fiona Gilroy, content sales and acquisitions director at Flame Distribution.

“The unpredictable and exhilarating nature of programs about the paranormal makes them truly compelling,” said Laycock. “Haunting: Australia is a bold and cutting-edge new series and I’m thrilled to be bringing it to our viewers who come to Really for their fix of out-of-this-world television.”
