Shaw Media to end “Canadian Pickers”

The Canadian junkyard scavenger series, inspired by the original American Pickers, will not be renewed following the broadcast of its final four episodes in December on History.

Shaw Media in Canada is cancelling Canadian Pickers after the final four episodes air in December on History Television, ending a four-season run.

The climax for the Canadian scavenger hunt series, a local format adaptation of Cineflix Productions’ American Pickers series, will include an all-day marathon with the airing of the final two episodes on December 23.

Canadian Pickers, hosted by Scott Cozens and Sheldon Smithens, will have run for 52 episodes on History Television.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to work with Scott, Sheldon and the entire Canadian Pickers team on this much-loved Canadian series,” Barbara Williams,¬†Shaw Media’s senior VP of content, said in a statement.
