Summit ’14: FYI, Al Jazeera U.S. to set out stall

Senior execs from Reelzchannel, The Weather Channel, Al Jazeera America, FYI and LMN will use the 2014 Realscreen Summit to outline the unscripted programming that they are looking for.

Senior execs from Al Jazeera America, Reelzchannel, The Weather Channel, FYI and LMN will take to the stage at the 2014 Realscreen Summit to outline the unscripted programming they are looking for.

The execs will talk on the Summit’s annual ‘Amping Up Unscripted’ panel session, which spotlights newcomers networks that are either moving into factual programming or upping their non-fiction output, on January 29 at 11.30 a.m. EST at the Washington Hilton.

Speaking at the session (and pictured above from left to right) will be Mary Ellen Iwata, VP of original content development at The Weather Channel; Kathy Davidov, senior exec producer for documentaries at Al Jazeera America; Steve Cheskin, senior VP of programming at Reelzchannel; and Jana Bennett, president of the A+E Networks-owned FYI and LMN channels.

The news comes as the Summit solidifies a program that also features senior execs from networks including A&E, AMC, American Heroes Channel, Animal Planet, ARTV, the BBC, BET Networks, Bravo, the CBC, CMT, CNN, Condé Nast Entertainment Group, Cooking Channel, Crime & Investigation Network, The CW, Destination America, Discovery Channel, Discovery Fit & Health, Discovery Networks Canada, Discovery Networks International, DIY Network, E!
