Half Yard Productions ups two

Half Yard Productions has promoted two staffers to its senior management team.

Effective immediately, freelance casting director and development producer Matt Cohn (left) will step into the newly created role of director, talent and casting while manager of development Matt Ayres (right)becomes director of development.

In addition to overseeing casting and talent relations, Cohn will be responsible for identifying and cultivating on-air talent for development projects and new series. His casting credits for Half Yard include Animal Planet’s Hillbilly Handfishin’ and Bravo’s 100 Days of Summer.

Ayres will manage series in the company’s development pipeline, create sizzle reels and scout new concepts and stories. His credits include finding the talent for National Geographic Channel’s Diggers and development on Discovery Channel’s American Loggers.

Both are based out of the company’s Bethesda, Maryland office.
