U.S. cable channel DIY Network is producing a home renovation series starring actor William Shatner.

Produced by Scott Sternberg Productions, The Shatner Project follows the former Star Trek star and his wife Liz as they gut their 1970s-style California home. The couple remodels the kitchen, living room, dining room, patio and media room.

“I am embracing change,” said Shatner in a statement. “Our home will be unfamiliar territory for a while but I am excited by all of it.”

The five-episode docuseries will premiere in October.
