MTV promotes Colin Nash

MTV has promoted Colin Nash (pictured) to senior vice presidentVP of series development for West Coast reality programming.

Formerly the U.S. cable network’s VP of series development, he will continue to oversee the West Coast-based reality development team in the expanded role. Nash is based in Santa Monica and will report to head of West Coast reality programming Lauren Dolgen.

He joined MTV’s development team in 2010 as a vice president. His credits for the network include Punk’d, Buckwild, Life Continued: Beating Depression and season 29 of The Real WorldReal World: Ex-plosion – in which the network changed the format by having the cast’s exes move into the house.

Prior to joining MTV, he worked as a freelancer, producing shows for MTV such as The Hills, The City and Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County as well as series for ABC, CW, VH1, TLC and The WB.

MTV’s West Coast development slate includes the upcoming series Slednecks and Virgin Territory, and the 30th season of The Real World.
