A+E Networks has hired Zodiak Rights exec Glen Hansen (pictured) to be its VP of content sales for Asia-Pacific.

Hansen was most recently Zodiak Rights’ senior VP of sales and acquisitions for North America, overseeing coproductions, program and format sales, and program acquisitions.

At A+E, he will report to international content sales and partnerships MD Joel Denton – whose hiring was announced last week – and to Asia-Pacific MD Alan Hodges.

In a statement, Hodges said: “Glen’s extensive sales expertise and knowledge of the Asia-Pacific television market is crucial to leading the Asia team, and expanding A+E Networks’ syndication business throughout the region.”

Hansen will be based in Los Angeles and will oversee content sales for Asia, Australia and New Zealand, managing A+E Networks’ Asia-based sales team.
