U.S. network FYI plans to serve Midnight Feast, a culinary showdown set in New York’s Chelsea Market, which will feature three top chefs cooking their way to gastronomic glory.

Set to premiere October 16 at 10 p.m. EST, the 6 x 60-minute series will feature a trio of chefs granted after-hours access to Chelsea Market and able to use any ingredient found within the food hall. Following the cook-off, a trio of judges decide which cuisine reigns supreme, and the winner receives a cash prize totaling 10 times the value of the ingredients that were used to make the dish.

The losers? They have to pay their own tab. The more expensive and exotic the ingredients, the more they will have to shell out of their own pockets.

Hosted by chef and head judge Spike Mendelsohn (pictured above), Midnight Feast will also feature judges Kat O’Dell (Eater.com editorial producer) and chef and restaurateur John DeLucie.

Produced for FYI by Nerd TV, Midnight Feast has Jago Lee, John Farrar and Bob Kirsh serving as executive producers for the prodco, with Gena McCarthy and Lauren Wohl fulfilling the same roles for the A+E Networks-owned channel.
