Silverkite Media scores sales for “Keiko,” “Zoo Vet at Large”

Keiko: the Untold Story, about the Orca featured in the Free Willy film, gets licensed to Animal Planet in assorted territories, while Zoo Vet at Large heads to the UK, Netherlands and Sweden.

London-based distributor Silverkite Media has sold the hour-long doc Keiko: The Untold Story to Animal Planet in assorted territories, and docusoap Zoo Vet at Large assorted international outlets.

Keiko, which tells the story of the Orca whale featured in the theatrical hit Free Willy, will air on Animal Planet in the UK on Saturday (March 7), and has also been licensed to Animal Planet HD in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Meanwhile, Horse & Country TV has licensed 17 episodes of Zoo Vet at Large for its channels in the UK, the Netherlands and Sweden. It will also air on Horse & Country TV in Australia.

Elsewhere, Digicel Media in Papua New Guinea has acquired the first two 18 x 30-minute series of Zoo Vet, and Scrapbooks From Hell: The Auschwitz Albums has been licensed to M6 in France for its Paris Premiere outlet.
