Swedish coproduction centre and film fund Film i Skåne has upped Lisa Nyed to commissioning editor for documentaries.

Funded by the County Council of Skåne, the Malmö-based company serves as a copro partner for films in early stages of development, with recent titles including Bikes vs CarsEvery Face Has a NamePunk Syndrome and Armadillo.

Following a company restructure, Nyed – who previously served as commissioner of screening and distribution – will begin the new role on October 1, and is to handle copros of “all lengths and formats.”

Prior to the new role, Nyed served on several festival juries and selection committees for Skåne, worked as a tutor for documentary projects through the EDN-run development lab Twelve for the Future, and also served as program manager for Nordisk Panorama’s Nordic Short & Doc Film Festival between 2013 and 2014.

The company restructure also sees head of production Joakim Rang Strand now focusing on regional coproduction for fiction features and TV series.

Nyed’s appointment was announced at the Nordisk Panorama Forum on September 20.
