“MasterChef Junior” heads to Russia

Global producer-distributor Endemol Shine Group is bringing its hit competition series MasterChef Junior(pictured) to Russia.

Moscow-based broadcaster CTC Channel has commissioned Endemol Shine Group’s Russian production partner Weit Media for a 12-episode prime-time series of the popular MasterChef spin-off, as well as a family entertainment series titled My Dad is Better Than Yours. The channel has also ordered a second season of lifestyle competition series The Biggest Loser.

MasterChef Junior has now sold into more than 23 countries.

Endemol Shine Group first partnered with Weit Media in 2009. Headed by Timur Weinstein, the company’s recent credits include a local version of comedy talent series Your Face Sounds Familiar.
