Wahlburgers shop 44 Blue Productions has promoted Julie Merson to VP of development and hired Alison Dammann and Willis Robertson as directors of development.

Merson will be charged with expanding the company’s programming slate, which currently has more than 20 projects in active production. Prior to joining 44 Blue, she served as a development executive at Original Media and headed the prodcos Super Long Play and Washington Square Films. She has developed and produced series for TLC, Discovery, We TV and Bravo, among others.

Dammann was formerly the manager of development for Relativity Media, where she provided oversight for the company’s slate of 150-plus unscripted projects while aiding in production and format sales for such networks as Fuse, Fox, Discovery and Esquire.

Robertson joins the Nightwatch producer from Bunim/Murray Productions, where he served as manager of development responsible for developing a raft of programs for such male skewing networks as truTV, History, National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel.

“This group is a collection of dynamic, creative thinkers who represent a wide range of experience across docureality, formats, comedy and branded content,” said Stephanie Drachkovitch, co-founder and president of 44 Blue Productions, in a statement. “They each bring a vision and sensibility that will inspire even more innovation as we continue to break ground in multiplatform content.”
