Scripps Networks Interactive-owned net Travel Channel has upped Courtney White (pictured) to senior VP of programming.

In her new post, White is charged with overseeing all series development and production for the network and will lead the net’s programming team.

White joined the company in 2005 as a program development exec for HGTV before rising to senior programming exec for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country. She has developed a number of popular programs including Beachfront Bargain Hunt, Hawaii Life, Ellen’s Design Challenge and Selling Spelling Manor.

Previously, the exec spent more than 10 years developing and producing documentaries. Her credits include HBO’s Dealing Dogs, the Emmy Award-winning Through A Child’s Eyes: September 11, 2001 and ‘Twas the Night. She has also produced series for History, A&E, National Geographic Channel and PBS.

Scripps last month announced that Travel Channel headquarters would relocate from Chevy Chase, Maryland to Tennessee in 2016.
