Weit Media promotes Yulia Sumacheva to CEO

The Moscow-based Endemol Shine Group-owned producer has named Yulia Sumacheva to CEO as Timur Weinstein exits the company to take up a post at Russian commercial broadcaster NTV.

Weit Media CEO and founder Timur Weinstein is leaving the Endemol Shine-owned producer to take up a post at Russian commercial broadcaster NTV.

The veteran TV exec took on the role of general producer for the network on December 1, replacing Danila Sharapov.

Weit Media has promoted Yulia Sumacheva to CEO.

The exec has worked for the Moscow-based company since 2009. She most recently served as chief producer and has worked on series such as Your Face Sounds Familiar, The Biggest Loser, MasterChef Junior and Wipeout.

She will be supported in day-to-day operations by chief operating officer Roman Elistraiov.
