History preps Peter Berg’s “Live to Tell”

The U.S. net has set a January air date for the military-focused docuseries from executive producer Peter Berg.

U.S. net History has set an air date for its military-focused docuseries with executive producer Peter Berg.

The previously announced series has been titled Live to Tell (pictured), and gives viewers an intimate look into recent U.S. Special Operations Forces missions, as told by those who were on the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Missions featured in the program include the Red Wings Recovery, an Army Rangers’ recovery story of U.S. Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell; the Battle for Haditha Dam, a key location in the Iraq War; and the Green Berets of 7115, a group of Special Forces ambushed by the Taliban and forced to fight to safety.

Live to Tell - which has received an 8 x 60-minute episode order – will premiere on January 10 at 10 p.m. EST.

The series is produced by Berg’s unscripted shingle Film 45. Executive producers for the company are Berg, Matt Goldberg and Brandon Carroll.  Matthew Ginsburg and Paul Cabana are exec producing for History.
