Nathalie Darrigrand joins France 5

French pubcaster France Télévisions has appointed France 2 exec Nathalie Darrigrand as executive director of factual channel France 5.

French pubcaster France Télévisions has appointed Nathalie Darrigrand as executive director of factual channel France 5.

Effective January 1, Darrigrand will move from sister network France 2 to replace Michel Field who left to become group executive director for news three months after taking up the post.

Since 2011, she has worked as director of magazines for France 2. Prior to that, she held several positions throughout France Télévisions since starting her career at the company in 1988. She has also worked as assistant program director for France 2 and group magazines coordinator for France Télévisions.

She previously worked for France 5 following the company’s launch 15 years ago. From 2000 to 2005, she was head of magazines, and before that she held positions in the educational, children’s programming and news divisions.
