Factory Media boosts int’l distribution, sales teams

The UK- and Germany-based content company has bolstered its international distribution and sales teams with the appointments of Nathalie Holden (pictured, right) and Sam Thompson (left), respectively.

UK- and Germany-based content company Factory Media has bolstered its international distribution and sales teams with the appointments of Nathalie Holden (pictured, right) and Sam Thompson (left), respectively.

Thompson, who will serve as Factory’s head of sales, previously held the title of MD of international at New York-headquartered Big Media Holdings, where he helped launch a London office to serve as the content distributor’s international springboard into untapped markets.

Holden, meanwhile, has been named as Factory’s head of distribution, where she will work alongside the firm’s media sales, editorial, creative and social media teams. The exec most recently served as commercial director at interactive entertainment company Cube Interactive. Prior to this, Holden worked alongside Factory’s recently appointed head of acquisitions Georgie Eyre on the acquisitions and sales team at global producer-distributor Off the Fence.

Eyre, Thompson and Holden will work alongside director of content Dee Smith to “acquire content, source pre-sales investment money and sell finished products.” The trio of new hires will report to Factory MD Darryl Newton.

The company is positioning itself as a classic distribution platform; short-form content acquisition and curation service; and a brand-directed content production and holistic distribution service.
