Northern Ireland-headquartered indie Big Mountain Productions is growing its production team with two hires.

Donna Higgins (pictured, left) has joined the Wild Ireland producer as head of production and Lucy Wedlock (right) has boarded the company as series producer – a newly created position.

Higgins is a line producer who has worked for Blast Films and Double Act Films, and has also served as a senior production manager for Dragonfly Film & Television. Her recent credits include Web of Lies for Investigation Discovery, Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet for Animal Planet and Flying to the Ends of the Earth for Channel 4.

Meanwhile, Wedlock has produced and directed for networks on series such as Channel 4′s One Born Every Minute, ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and RTÉ’s Ireland’s Fittest Family.

Big Mountain’s production slate includes the special Generation Foundation for Channel 4 and season three of the format Genealogy Roadshow, which airs in the U.S. on PBS. The company has offices in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and London.
