Broadcasters in Spain, Poland and the Netherlands are prepping localized adaptations of FremantleMedia’s award-winning reality format My First Holiday (pictured).

The format, which tags along with travelers from diverse backgrounds as they embark on a foreign vacation for the first time, will journey to Spain’s RTVCM, Poland’s TTV, VRT for the Flemish region in Belgium and RTBF in French-speaking Belgium.

Elsewhere, No Pictures Please in the Netherlands will produce the series for RTL 5, while Slovakia’s JOJ has also licensed the format.

Originally developed for FremantleMedia Belgium, the series was first sold to Finland and has since been recommissioned for a sophomore season for Finnish channel Jim/Nelonen Media. It most recently won the Format Finlandia Award.

“The key to the success of My First Holiday lies in its authentic and unfiltered look at the world,” said Chris O’Dell, head of global entertainment production at FremantleMedia, in a statement. “It’s rated incredibly well in Finland and has gone on to receive a fantastic reception from international broadcasters upon launching at MIPTV 2016.”
