Talpa’s “Design Dream” heads to Austria

Netherlands-based media company Talpa Media has sent its design format Design Dream to Austria.

Launching on ProSieben Austria in 2019, the show sees six designers compete against one another to make the interior dreams of regular people come true. The designers each present their own designs, resulting in six different solutions for the same interior. In the end, only one contestant can be crowned ‘Austria’s best interior designer’.

The second season of Design Dream just wrapped in the Netherlands.

Temptation Island reboot lands in Canada on Bell Media 

Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of Banijay Group, has sold the U.S. reboot of Temptation Island to Bell Media in Canada.

Premiering later this month on USA Network, Temptation Island will simulcast on Bell Media’s E! Entertainment, CTV networks, and SVOD platform Crave.

Produced by Banijay Studios North America for USA Network, the 11-episode reboot of Temptation Island follows dating couples at a crossroads in their relationship who must mutually decide if they want to commit to one another or if they should split.

Together, the couples travel to Maui, Hawaii, where they join 24 eligible men and women, living the “single life” in a test that is designed to answer the most difficult questions about their relationship.

Red Arrow Studios Int’l inks three-year pact with Visual Data Media Services

Global distributor Red Arrow Studios International has inked an exclusive three-year deal with Visual Data Media Services, a digital media supply chain firm.

The contract will allow Red Arrow Studios International to access Visual Data’s expertise in content preparation for international sales and quality control, as well as the company’s preferred vendor status with digital platforms including Amazon, Netflix and iTunes.

Red Arrow has chosen Visual Data’s complete content management and digital supply chain services, which includes the VIDA digital media asset management and archive storage platform. VIDA is designed for international film and TV distribution, content prep for international sales, quality control, and secure content delivery to broadcasters and platforms.

“RBG”, “Wild Wild Country” garner ACE noms

American Cinema Editors (ACE), the honorary society of the world’s leading film editors, has unveiled the nominations for the 69th Annual ACE Eddie Awards.

The Eddie Awards recognize outstanding editing in 11 categories of film, television and documentaries.

In the category of Best Edited Documentary Feature, the nominations include Bob Eisenhardt, Free Solo; Carla Gutierrez, RBG (pictured); Michael Harte, Three Identical Strangers; and Jeff Malmberg and Aaron Wickenden, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?.

In the category for Best Edited Documentary Non-Theatrical, the nominations were handed out to Martin Singer, A Final Cut for Orson: 40 Years in the Making; Greg Finton and Poppy Das, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind; Neil Meiklejohn, Wild Wild Country, Part 3; and Joe Beshenkovsky, The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling.

Finally, in the Best Edited Non-Scripted Series category, the nominations include Hunter Gross, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown: “West Virginia”; Rob Butler, Deadliest Catch: “Storm Surge”; and Molly Shock, Naked & Afraid: “Fire and Fury”.

Winners will be revealed during ACE’s annual awards ceremony on Feb. 1 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and will be presided over by ACE president Stephen Rivkin.
