Poland’s satellite platform Cyfrowy Polsat has launched the Scripps Networks Interactive channel Food Network, to be known in the region as Polsat Food Network.
The channel is available to all 3.5 million Cyfrowy Polsat subscribers beginning today (November 22). Programming such as Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian and Diners, Drive Ins and Dives will be offered in both Polish and English.
Food Network EMEA’s distribution partner, Chello Zone, brokered the carriage deal, which is the latest in a number of European carriage deals for Food Network over the past few months.
“Poland is a key territory integral to Food Network’s expansion across Central and Eastern Europe,” said Jon Sichel, managing director of Scripps Networks Interactive EMEA. “We are thrilled that this launch will greatly increase our footprint in the region and look forward to working with Cyfrowy Polsat to ensure Food Network’s success.”
