OTE TV, a pay-TV service in Greece, has added History HD to its lineup, marking the first time the high definition channel will be available to Greek audiences.

Following a deal between OTE TV and A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and BSkyB, History HD will be available across both satellite and IPTV platforms. Currently the networks offers more than 70 channels and 17 HD channels.

The programming that will be available include Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, Mankind The Story of All of Us, Ice Road Truckers and American Pickers.

“Greece is a country with a rich and fascinating history so there is no better place to launch our high-definition History channel,” said Tom Davidson, managing director at A+E Networks UK.
