Factual distributor World Wide Entertainment, part of Istanbul-based content company Global Agency, has acquired rights for the one-hour documentary Against the Grain: The Year Mother Nature Struck Back, from producers Gary Grossman and Robb Weller (Healing the Hate).

The special, which was syndicated in the U.S. in November of 2012 and aired on 175 stations, tells the story of American families managing their farms and harvests through the most challenging growing seasons in modern history.

Against the Grain combines extreme weather footage with expert interviews and analysis from the financial, insurance and commodity sectors. According to WWE, the special also serves as a taste of a full ob-doc series planned for this year.
