U.S. net National Geographic Channel has ordered six hour-long episodes of makeover format Divine Intervention from T Group Productions.

The series promises to follow three ‘church hoppers,’ who will scour America in search of churches and faith-based organizations that are in need of an overhaul.

The trio will work with the heads of the establishments to address issues such as sales and marketing, the financial structure and the experience as a whole.

“It’s one of those rare, feel good shows with cross-generational appeal,” said Jenny Daly, president of T Group. “With humor and heart, the series takes the makeover genre into an entirely new space.”

Divine Intervention is scheduled to premiere later this summer, and the exec producers for T Group are Daly, Mike Duffy and Eric Lange.

T Group’s other productions include Storage Hunters, Food School and Mystery Diners.
