Xbox Entertainment Studios has greenlit Every Street United, a soccer-focused series from Mandalay Sports Media.

This marks the first unscripted foray for the gaming company, after the May announcement that the Studios would produce its first original series with a Halo drama series produced by Steven Spielberg.

Mandalay Sports Media, the company from Peter Guber (Batman and Rain Man producer) and Mike Tollin (ESPN’s 30 for 30 producer), will produce the 8 x 30-minute series.

The series will travel to different countries, including the U.S., Spain, France, Argentina, Brazil and Ghana, and will spotlight undiscovered local street soccer players.

30 for 30 director Jonathan Hock is expected to direct some of the series, which will be executive produced by Tollin and Jon Weinbach.

Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.
