A former contestant from the British version of The Apprentice with controversial views on obesity will attempt to gain and then lose weight as part of a special for TLC UK.

Crackit Productions is producing the two-part documentary special in which Katie Hopkins (pictured), who has said that she would not hire overweight people because they appear lazy, attempts to gain 56 pounds to experience what it’s like to be overweight.

The first part will follow the reality star as she copes with the weight gain and spends time listening to overweight people’s reactions to her opinions. In the second, Hopkins will try to lose the weight to prove her theory that “self-discipline and self-belief lie at the heart of the issue,” according to the network.

The yet-to-be-titled doc will air in early 2015. Charlotte Reid is exec producing for TLC UK and Hannah Springham is exec producing for Crackit.
