Red Arrow Entertainment Group opens NYC office

In a move that represents the growing importance of the American market to the Munich-headquartered company, chief creative officer Michael Schmidt (pictured) and SVP of finance, U.S., Raimo Reese will relocate to New York City.

ProSiebenSat. 1-owned Red Arrow Entertainment Group is opening a corporate office in New York City, with chief creative officer Michael Schmidt (pictured) relocating to the U.S.

In a move that Red Arrow says reflects the growing importance of the American market to the Munich-headquartered company, its SVP of finance for the U.S., Raimo Reese, will also be based in the New York office.

Currently, Red Arrow Entertainment Group has five companies in the territory, including Fabrik Entertainment, Kinetic Content, the U.S. office of Nerd TV, Left/Right and Half Yard Productions.

“Establishing a corporate presence in the U.S. is a logical next step for us,” said Red Arrow Entertainment Group CEO Jan Frouman in a statement. “It allows us to further strengthen the link between our European and U.S. companies, and facilitate new partnerships with U.S. creatives.

“Michael and Raimo are outstanding and proven executives who will give us better market coverage and enjoy life without constant jet-lag,” he added, “something that makes me quite jealous.”

Schmidt was also recently named to the general board of the Amsterdam-based Format Recognition and Protection Agency (FRAPA).
