Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has acquired Wicked Inventions (pictured) and What on Earth? from London-based distributor TCB Media Rights.

Produced by Like A Shot Entertainment, Wicked Inventions (30 x 30 minutes) originally aired on Viasat History and is about little-known histories of such everyday objects as the Swiss army knife and the saddle.

WAGTV’s What on Earth? (6 x 60 minutes) aired on Science Channel in the United States and attempts to explain mysteries such as the location of the Garden of Eden using satellite imagery to provide clues.

TCB’s Mem Bakar and Discovery’s director of programming for Asia-Pacific Lynn Ng negotiated the deal.
