Cineflix Rights picks up “The Secret World of Lego”

The London-based distributor has acquired the international rights to the Waddell Media-produced documentary (pictured), which aired in the UK on Channel 4.

Distributor Cineflix Rights has acquired the international rights to the Channel 4 documentary The Secret World of Lego.

Produced by Waddell Media, the one-hour doc follows a British design student who travels to the secretive toy brand’s headquarters in Billund, Denmark to work as a Lego set designer.

The filmmakers also profile Matthew James Ashton (pictured), the company’s vice president of design, and two adult Lego fans who attempt to make money off the brand by inventing their own designs.

According to producers, the one-off, which aired in the UK on Channel 4, marks the first time Lego has allowed cameras to shoot inside its headquarters.
