Red Arrow Entertainment and the co-founders of film, TV and commercials prodco Smuggler have invested in the international-facing Cove Pictures.

The outfit is a joint venture between Smuggler execs Patrick Milling-Smith and Brian Carmody and the ProSiebenSat.1 Group-owned Red Arrow Entertainment, which will hold a minority stake in Cove and distribute its projects internationally.

Headed by Heather Rabbatts - who serves as MD of Cove – the prodco is based in London, New York and Los Angeles, and specializes in blue-chip factual programs, as well as drama and comedy.

Cove has so far struck a “creative alliance” with Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli’s film and TV shop Eon Productions, best known as the producers behind the ‘James Bond’ franchise.

The entities will develop shows for the international market, with further details on forthcoming projects expected in the coming months.

Red Arrow Entertainment Group was advised on the investment by Stella Advisors and Sheridans, according to a release.
