Food Network has set an August air date for a culinary series starring the Smollett siblings.
Smollett Eats follows the family’s resident chef Jake Smollett and brothers Jocqui, Jojo and Jussie (Fox’s Empire), and sisters Jazz and Jurnee (WGN America’s Underground) as they prep meals for a child’s birthday, a midnight BBQ with friends, a pop-up dinner at a comedy club, a food truck challenge and other scenarios.
In episode one, Jazz challenges her brothers to plan the menu for her daughter Nylah’s second birthday party based around a sophisticated ‘tea for two’ theme.
Triage Entertainment is producing the six-episode series with Smollett Collective Inc.
Smollett Eats begins airing on August 20 at 12:30 p.m. EST/PST.
