ITV Studios-owned entertainment prodco Possessed has appointed Gail Pinkerton as its head of production.

Pinkerton was most recently with Optomen Television in the UK, where she oversaw such shows as Hotel GB; Mary, Queen of Shops; and assorted Gordon Ramsay programs for Channel 4 including Kitchen Nightmares and Cookalong Live.

Pinkerton will report to Possessed MD Glenn Hugill. The prodco’s slate includes such entertainment series as Pick Me, Cash Trapped and ITV’s upcoming game show Spotless.

“It is a measure of the extraordinary growth in the company that we should already need a head of production with Gail’s unrivaled experience and reputation,” said Hugill in a statement, while also hinting at a “big announcement coming up.”

The 20 x 60-minute quiz show, to be produced by Endemol Shine UK prodco Initial, will play off of the current fascination with “top 10″ lists and have teams of contestants attempt to move “up the money ladder” by correctly answering a “top 10″-oriented question.
