Endemol Shine Latino’s Michelle Wasserman will be moving from Argentina to the U.S. to take up an expanded role within the company.
As SVP, licensing and content development, Wasserman will now be based out of Endemol Shine’s Miami offices.
For the past five years, Wasserman has served as SVP, international business and content development with Endemol Shine Latino, working out of Buenos Aires.
She has been responsible for all format distribution and marketing strategies, as well as coproductions for Endemol Shine in Latin America (outside of Brazil). She has sold and overseen local development of Endemol Shine formats in Latin America, including series such as MasterChef, Big Brother and My Name Is.
Wasserman was instrumental in setting up a hub in Sao Paulo for the regional production of The Wall, which includes local versions in Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil.
In addition to continuing her responsibilities in Latin America, Wasserman will now be a part of the company’s Miami operations and look to expand Endemol Shine’s businesses across all genres and platforms. Wasserman will continue to report to Laurens Drillich, president, Endemol Shine Latino.
“Michelle has done a phenomenal job leading our format distribution efforts across Latin America for the last six years, expanding Endemol Shine’s reach in the region with many of our top formats,” said Drillich, in a statement. “She is a top seller and a great professional and I’m excited to have her joining us in Miami and sitting in the office next door.”
Prior to joining Endemol Shine, Wasserman served as head of international business for Telefe in Buenos Aires. She’s held a variety of sales and promotion roles with Admira Media, PSN (PanAmerican Sports Network), Fox Latin America Channel and Telemax.
Endemol Shine Latino, a division of Endemol Shine North America, oversees all Spanish and Portuguese-language operations across Latin America, including the newly launched studio Endemol Shine Boomdog.
