Factual entertainment streaming channel Insight TV has ordered a series that tackles the “urban exploring” trend.
Urban Explorers (8 x 30 minutes) sees two teams of YouTube influencers traveling the world, exploring abandoned buildings and remote locations. The aim of the series is to take viewers off the beaten track in an effort to find extraordinary places that few have visited.
Urban Explorers will culminate in a top 10 list of what the teams deem to be the most stunning locations on earth.
“What’s unique about this show is that for a good portion of it, the explorers are the ones filming,” said Arun Maljaars, director, content and channels for Insight TV. “They use handheld cameras to give viewers a personal, up-close feeling, which adds an extra creative touch.”
