TrueRoyalty.tv, the budding on-demand TV service devoted to royal content, has commissioned its first original project with a 60-minute special on newlywed couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Produced by British indie Spun Gold TV, Meghan and Harry: The First 100 Days (w/t) chronicles the first three months of the royal couple’s married life. The film features connected royal insiders and historians, plus icons from fashion and show business, who will deliver insight on both Harry and Meghan’s new domestic and public life.
Executive producers on The First 100 Days are Spun Gold’s Nick Bullen and Juliet Rice. The one-off film is produced and directed by Ross Curran.
UK-based distributor and production-funding agency Drive, meanwhile, has been tapped to handle worldwide pre-sales and distribution.
Launched in June 2018, TrueRoyalty.tv offers its subscribers documentaries and factual dramas about royalty from around the world and through the ages, curated by Spun Gold’s Bullen, the BAFTA award-winning TV and documentary film producer.
Meghan and Harry: The First 100 Days will be available exclusively to TrueRoyalty.tv subscribers in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
