D360 builds out its team, inks deals for reno content

In addition to a new hire and a pair of promotions, the Toronto-based distributor has sold 300 hours of TV starring Bryan Baeumler to international broadcasters.

Toronto-based Distribution360 has revealed a pair of promotions and a new hire, in addition to selling 300 hours of Bryan Baeumler content to international broadcasters.

The marblemedia distribution arm has promoted Jordan Cavallo to senior manager of acquisitions and operations. Cavallo recently served as the company’s manager, materials and technical operations. In the new role he will be responsible for all contractual delivery requirements for content licence agreements made by the team. He will also manage materials related to programming acquired by third-party producers.

On the sales side, Smiljka Baljozovic has been promoted to director of sales. In the expanded role, Baljozovic will focus on sales management in addition to covering her territories in Eastern and Western Europe. Most recently, she worked as an international sales consultant at D360.

As well, Ali Spizarsky has joined the company as sales manager. Spizarsky will be responsible for in-flight sales and territories in Asia, English-speaking Canada, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining D360, she worked at Corus Entertainment as a sales coordinator.

In addition to the new appointments, the distributor also inked deals for various renovation series like Leave it to BryanBryan Inc. (pictured) and more.

All produced by Si Entertainment for HGTV Canada, D360 has sold more than 100 hours of Baeumler content to UKTV. The British broadcaster acquired Leave it to Bryan (130 x 30 minutes), Bryan Inc. (26 x 60 minutes) and Disaster DIY (26 x 30 minutes).

Leave it to Bryan was also picked up by BYUtv in the U.S. In addition, three seasons of the renovation show were sold to Viacom for Italy through a deal with GA&A, while Russia’s U7 Group nabbed three seasons of the series for Your Home Channel.

Blackstar TV in South Africa also bought season two of Bryan Inc. (13 x 60 minutes). Meanwhile, Foxtel in Australia licensed the show’s second season, in addition to seasons one and four of Leave it to Bryan and seasons one and three of House of Bryan.
