Divorced couple and business partners Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa are returning to Discovery-owned lifestyle network HGTV in a new season of Flip or Flop.
Produced by Pie Town Productions, the 18-episode season will follow Anstead and El Moussa as they reunite as real estate business partners and co-parents as they buy, renovate and sell properties around Southern California for a profit.
The all-new season will peel the curtain back on the pair’s new family dynamic following Anstead’s recent marriage while “raising a blended family of four and expecting a baby boy later this year.”
Flip or Flop returns Aug. 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
“Christina and I are in a really good place right now,” said El Moussa in a statement. “We’ve worked hard to keep our business strong, but our kids will always be our No. 1 priority. It’s important they know we respect each other and that we only want the best for them.”
“I feel like Tarek and I have started a brand-new chapter,” added Anstead. “We may not always agree on kitchen backsplashes or floor plans, but we’re always on the same page when it comes to our kids. We’ve learned to put our differences aside, so we can give [our sons] Taylor and Brayden the best and happiest life possible.”
Also premiering on Aug. 1 is HGTV’s digital series Tarek’s Flip Side, which offers a glimpse of El Moussa’s personal life as he enjoys quality time with his kids and family. The program will be made available on the HGTV app, HGTV.com, on demand across all platforms, HGTV Facebook and HGTV’s YouTube channel.
