Global prodco and TV channel Insight TV has partnered with energy drink company Monster Energy on a new doc about pro drag racer Jndia Erbacher, among other docs and non-fiction series.
Jndia: The Fast Life follows the 24-year-old Erbacher (pictured), known as “the fastest woman in Switzerland,” and tells the story of how she followed her dream of becoming the fastest female drag-car racer in Europe.
The 47-minute film is an Insight TV Studios production, co-produced with Monster Energy. Frank le Mair is executive producer.
“Through our partnership with Monster Energy, we have had the good fortune to identify exceptional emerging talent,” said le Mair in a statement. “Jndia Erbacher is another outstanding example. Her story is as contemporary as it is compelling, and with the incredible adrenaline-producing racing and exotic locations, which are all the more engaging in stunning 4K UHD, this is perhaps our most exciting co-production to date.”
“I’m really excited for people to see this documentary because it is an authentic representation of what it’s like to be a young woman in the world of drag racing — a traditionally male dominated sport,” added Erbacher. “The show looks at how I train, race and recover, and viewers will see the challenges that I face every day in order to be at the very top of my game.”
Insight and Monster have partnered in the past, on Road to Gymkhana Grid, following professional rally driver Ken Block’s yearly drift race event; Morbidelli Rising, about the first racing season of Valentino Rossi’s now-famous apprentice Franco Morbidelli; Dangers of DarkFest, following the world’s best freestyle mountain bikers in a race on the southern tip of Africa; and the short film series Born To, on top athletes overcoming challenging obstacles to achieve stunning success.
Jndia: The Fast Life premieres Aug. 10 on Insight TV.
