The Walt Disney Company is preparing a feature-length documentary and 52-episode series titled One Day at Disney, slated to debut Dec. 3 on its highly anticipated steaming service Disney+.
One Day at Disney kicks off with the documentary and offers viewers an in-depth look into the company’s “unique and surprising” jobs. Following the film’s debut – which features talent such as Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts and legendary animator Eric Goldberg – the One Day at Disney shorts will profile a single person and their job, with an episode debuting each week.
The project, part of a partnership between Disney+ – launching Nov. 12 – and Disney Publishing Worldwide, also includes the release of a 224-page coffee table book.
Disney+ content and marketing president Ricky Strauss and Roberts made the announcement Aug. 22 at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.
The series and documentary are from Endeavor Content’s non-scripted division and are executive produced by Michael Antinoro and David Chamberlin, and produced by Victoria Chamlee.
