Discovery-owned TLC’s six-part series Welcome to Plathville from Tinopolis prodco A. Smith & Co. Productions will debut this November.

Welcome to Plathville follows Kim and Barry Plath, who live on a remote 55-acre farm in southern Georgia with their nine children, ages six to 21.

The Plath kids live in the protected environment sheltered from the modern world, which parents Kim and Barry hope will instill “traditional values,” such as hard work, charitable morals and respect and of family roles.

However, recent changes have challenged the Plath’s lifestyle — including the marriage of the oldest Plath, Ethan, to Olivia, and the growing independence of the older children.

“With TLC’s family series, we love giving viewers the chance to dip into a world so different from their own, but at the same time, offer those relatable, recognizable elements, in this case, the universal joys and challenges of raising a family,” said TLC president and general manager Howard Lee in a statement.

Welcome to Plathville premieres Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
