British documentary presenter Stacey Dooley has created the prodco Little Dooley with backing from Keshet International-owned incubator and investor Greenbird.
Greenbird is taking on a services and support role at the company as part of the agreement.
Little Dooley will work as co-producers to co-create program formats and develop commissioning ideas and emerging talent.
Dooley (pictured) has more than 90 current affairs programs to her credit at British pubcaster the BBC, reporting from around the world for BBC3, BBC1 and CBBC.
“This model is one that has worked well with Big Light and Owl Power and allows creatives to develop while we help support with the necessary services to help enable commissions,” Stuart Mullin, joint managing director at Greenbird, said in a statement.
Greenbird, led by Mullin and Jamie Munro, offers “innovative” funding models and expertise in IP and licensing deals, among other services, to support indie producers.
Keshet International acquired a majority stake in the incubator in 2018. As part of that deal, the global producer-distributor becomes the distribution partner for the prodcos supported by Greenbird.
