ITV Studios has appointed former Endemol Shine Group (ESG) executive Lisa Perrin as its managing director for international studios.
Perrin joins ITV Studios’ senior management team after a six-year tenure at Endemol Shine Group, where she most recently served as CEO of creative networks. Her departure from ESG comes on the heels of its recent merger with Banijay Group.
At ITV Studios, Perrin will oversee the daily operations of the production outfit’s labels outside of the U.S. and UK, developing business strategy and vision, as well as identifying growth opportunities in new markets.
She will additionally work closely alongside ITV Studios’ MDs across Australia, France, Germany, the Middle East, Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Norway, as well as Tetra Media Studios in France, Talpa and Imago in Germany, Cattleya in Italy, and United in Denmark.
Perrin reports directly to Julian Bellamy, MD of ITV Studios.
“With a rare balance of creative and commercial talent, Lisa is an inspiring and dynamic leader,” said Bellamy in a statement. “I have no doubt that she will bring great vision, drive and flair to this increasingly important part of the Studios business.”
The reorganization of ITV Studios’ international and commercial arms means that Perrin will work alongside Mike Beale, who hands management of the Nordics territories to Perrin; Maarten Meijs, who heads up global entertainment; and Ruth Berry, who leads global distribution.
The shuffle will now enable Beale to focus on an expanded worldwide creative role as MD of global creative network, reporting directly to Bellamy.
In the new role, he will help drive ITV Studios’ creative and development efforts across the group’s global business, taking a more active role with the UK and U.S. teams. Beale will also be tasked with identifying new opportunities to build ITV Studios’ creative pipeline via development deals and partnerships with format creators.
Both Meijs and Berry report to David McGraynor, chief operating officer at ITV Studios.
Perrin, meanwhile, has more than 25 years of experience in program production and development, and played a crucial role in the growth of Endemol Shine Group’s scripted and non-scripted production and development across 65 countries.
Prior to her role as CEO of creative networks at ESG, Perrin served as creative director and MD at Shine Creative Networks. Before that, she was director of commissioning of entertainment at UKTV from 2008 to 2011.
“I’ve loved my time at Endemol Shine – it’s been a wonderful journey. I will miss many of my colleagues there,” Perrin added. “I’m truly excited to be joining ITV Studios and to be part of the new international team, working with the incredibly talented production companies around the world who are creating and producing so many hugely successful, award-winning programs loved by global audiences.”
