Paris-headquartered Banijay has solidified the leadership team for its Creative Networks division, with Lucas Green and James Townley elevated to jointly lead the central content team.
Green (pictured left) has been named global head of content operations and will now oversee all brands and existing IP in Banijay’s formats catalog, including MasterChef, Big Brother, Survivor, Temptation Island and Deal or No Deal.
Taking on all existing unscripted formats, his responsibilities will cover Banijay’s global footprint, spanning 22 territories, where he will be tasked with promoting recommissions and reboots while ensuring consistency across all adaptations.
Townley (right), meanwhile, becomes global head of content development. He will manage the development and creation of original unscripted content across the group to ensure a strong pipeline of formats for the international marketplace.
In addition, Townley’s team also includes Carlotta Rossi Spencer, head of format acquisitions, who will continue to lead third-party acquisitions for the catalog and production across the global company’s footprint.
The pair will report directly into Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti.
