Brian Tannenbaum, head of alternative content at Roku, joined host Jimmy Fox, from Main Event Media in the newest episode of the Unscripted and Unprepared podcast, produced and hosted by Fox, in partnership with Realscreen. The new episode is now available on Stitcher, Podbean, Spotify and Apple, and on other platforms.

Tannenbaum was hired by Roku earlier this year, with an eye towards moving the platform into original unscripted content. Tannenbaum previously headed up alternative content for Quibi, and now manages the non-scripted portion of Quibi’s content that’s been acquired by Roku. Before working at Quibi, Tannenbaum was SVP of creative and business affairs, alternative programmingat Lionsgate where he guided development and production for series like Kevin Hart: What the Fit on YouTube and Selling Sunset on Netflix.

Past episodes of Unscripted and Unprepared have featured influential unscripted screen content executives like Spotify Studios’ Liz Gateley, YouTube’s Alex Piper, NBCU’s Rod Aissa, Nickelodeon unscripted head Rob Bagshaw, Fremantle North America’s Jayson Dinsmore, Bongo Pictures’ Michael Bloom, among many others.

Jimmy Fox‘s production credits with Main Event Media include CNN’s United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell and Amazon Prime’s Inside Jokes.
