A&E has announced that it will premiere Digital Addiction, a new docuseries touching on mental health issues relating to digital dependency, on June 13.
Produced by GRB Studios (Intervention), the series tackles the impact that the many manifestations of the phenomenon — including compulsive gaming, online abuse, obsession with social media analytics, fanatical information-seeking, online gambling, and prioritizing devices over family and friends — can have on individuals and their relationships with their loved ones. It will also examine the potential roads to recovery, as experts devise a “digital detox” system that can be tailored to the specific circumstances of every person struggling with the addiction.
Gary R. Benz and Dan Partland serve as executive producers on the series for GRB. Brad Holcman, Shelly Tatro and Elaine Frontain Bryant are executive producers for A&E. A+E Networks holds global distribution rights.
