Cineflix UK has received one of the first primetime non-fiction commissions from the recently-launched Sky Atlantic for Treasure Seekers (w/t).

The 8 x 60-minute series features collector Paul Liengaard and interior designer Sarah Brunner and follows them as they unearth treasures in need of restoration.

Treasure Seekers is a mix of travelog, interiors show and transactional TV following two great characters on an adventure – finding cool and stylish retro objects from unlikely places around the UK,” said Rob Carey, creative director of Cineflix Productions.

Cineflix will also be producing a digital component for the show, dubbed The Seeker’s Handbook. The online content will include tips from the seekers as well as user-generated content and out-takes.

The series is executive produced by Nick Cory-Wright and Rob Carey, series produced by Ceri Rowlands, and was commissioned by Celia Taylor. Slated to air on Sky Atlantic in late 2011, it’ll be distributed internationally by Cineflix International.
