A+E Networks has promoted New York-based Ellen Lovejoy to the role of vice president, international content sales.

A+E Networks has promoted Ellen Lovejoy to the role of vice president, international content sales.

Lovejoy, based in New York, joined A+E in early 2011 as senior director, international content sales. Prior to that she was the SVP sales and programming for Target Entertainment, where she oversaw licensing to the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

In her new role, Lovejoy will oversee off-network sales of A+E Networks content to Canada, Australia and New Zealand. She is responsible for A+E Networks’ programming catalog sale strategy and will also act as the lead on IT, global format sales. She will report to the as-yet-unnamed MD, international content sales.

“Ellen joined A+E Networks in early 2011, and was immediately an impact player. She exceeded her revenue targets for the year, and has formed important partnerships with producers and broadcasters across her territories,” said Sean Cohan, SVP international, A+E Networks.
