Discovery and Animal Planet are set to air Dude, You’re Screwed, a survivalist competition series produced by High Noon Entertainment.

In the seven-part series, five survivalists from different backgrounds will have their mettle tested as, one by one, they are each “captured” by the other competitors and then dropped off in a remote, harsh environment. The contestant must then make his way back to civilization within 100 hours, “alive and unscathed,” according to a release from Discovery.

The series, created and developed by Charlie Foley, EVP of Discovery Communications’ Original Content Group and head of development for Animal Planet, will make its debut on Discovery Channel on Sunday, December 8 at 10 p.m. EST/PST, and on Animal Planet in early 2014.

For High Noon, Jim Berger and Scott Feeley are the executive producers, and Scott Madden is the co-executive producer.  For Animal Planet, Erin Wanner is the executive producer and Hilary Tholen is the associate producer; while for Discovery Channel, Julie Meisner Eagle is the executive producer and Katy Jones Garrity is the coordinating producer.
