Zodiak Americas ups Gamson, teams with Keller/Noll

Zodiak Americas is partnering with game and competition format creators Cleve Keller (pictured, right) and Dave Noll (left), and has promoted chief creative officer Mike Gamson to CEO of Zodiak New York.

Under the deal, Keller and Noll – heads of Chopped and Beat The House firm Keller/Noll – will focus on creating unscripted formats to be coproduced with Zodiak in the U.S. and distributed internationally by Zodiak Rights, the international sales arm of parent company Zodiak Media.

The deal will provide development resources for Keller/Noll and give the company direct access to Zodiak’s development teams in more than 20 countries. Keller/Noll will also relocate to Zodiak’s New York office and work with the newly promoted Gamson.

Most recently, Keller and Noll served as chief development officer and chief creative officer, respectively, for Shine America’s Ardaban where they created formats including HGTV series Beat the House and TLC’s The One that Got Away.  

The team’s credits include formats such as Chopped, Chopped Champions, Chopped All-Stars, Winsanity!, You vs., Momentum and Your Momma Don’t Dance, among others.

The partnership with Keller/Noll comes after Zodiak Americas revealed earlier this month that it would bring over Swedish producers and format developers Joel Karsberg and Cem Yeter from Zodiak Nordic to lead unscripted development as joint chief creative officers.

Keller added: “Together, Dave and I have been able to work with some bona fide industry legends. We are thrilled to now add to that list people like Grant Ross, Zodiak Media’s newly appointed EVP of creative development and format acquisition and Mike Gamson, who was instrumental in our decision to partner with Zodiak.”
