A&E will revisit controversial American murder cases in the 9 x 60-minute series Dead Again, set to premiere on October 2.

In the series – which is produced by Law & Order  creator and executive producer Dick Wolf (pictured) and his prodco Wolf Reality alongside Left/Right Productions – a team of three detectives with backgrounds in homicide and undercover work will be faced with reconstructed crime scenes, which they will dissect as though they were original cases. They will also interview key witnesses and forensic specialists.

The series explores whether the detectives will arrive at the same conclusions as the original cases, or make new discoveries of their own.

Executive producers for Wolf Reality are Wolf and Tom Thayer, while Kenneth Druckerman and Banks Tarver are exec producing for Left/Right. Executive producers for A&E Network include Shelly Tatro, Drew Tappon, Laura Fleury and Brad Holcman.

Dead Again will debut on A&E Network on October 2 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
